Under-bed drawers fit under your bed to provide extra storage. They’re made from birch plywood with a solid timber front panel, mounted on castors and rebated on the bottom edge so they pull out easily. You can fit up to four per bed (2 for a single bed).
We make three versions: Sahara under-bed drawers can be used with the Sahara, Malabar and Ocean beds. Tibet under-bed drawers are taller and are used with higher beds, such as the Zanskar, Cochin, Bamford or Orchid Kyoto under-bed drawers are a narrower version of the Sahara drawers for use with the Kyoto bed (see images)
For the Sahara and Tibet under-bed drawers, a timber side panel can be added if the side of the drawer at the foot of the bed will be visible. Please leave a note at checkout detailing whether you’d like the side panel to be on the left- or right-hand side, or contact us to let us know your preference.
Lead Time:Â 6 – 8 weeks
Our under bed drawers have a ply storage box (not stained) with a solid wood front panel. Side panels are available for the Tibet and Sahara drawers so the ply box can’t be seen from the front of the bed. Please let us know whether you’d like the side panel/s to be on the left- or right-hand side in the notes at checkout, or get in touch with us! Comes complete with four castors.

Our ‘natural-look’ lacquer finish, named for its clarity, allows you to appreciate the myriad of colours and subtle variations in tone of natural timber. It retains a very subtle, soft sheen which protects the timber from grease marks and some stains.
If you want bedside tables we can make the drawers 75cm wide rather than 90cm so that the side table doesn’t obstruct the drawer. The price is the same as the standard Sahara and Tibet drawers. NB: If you want two drawers side by side for a 1.90m long bed we will make the drawers 5cm narrower.

Please note: ‘Clear Pine’ is finished in our standard, natural-look lacquer. ‘Sanded Pine’ does not have any lacquer/finish at all. They do not look any different from one another, but the ‘sanded’ option does feel slightly rougher to the touch.

Outside of the Sheffield area, we use a national carrier. Delivery is arranged with the carrier once your order is ready, the carrier will be in touch with you directly to arrange the delivery date and time slot.
Within the Sheffield area, we deliver using our own vehicle. Once your order is ready to be delivered, we will contact you to arrange a delivery date and time slot.

I ordered 2 under bed drawers in oak. The drawers look fantastic under the bed and store more than I thought they would. They look as if they came with the bed. From start to finish my experience of the Natural Bed Company has been brilliant, even more so considering it has all taken place during the pandemic. Samples were sent so I could make the best match as the bed had been bought from a different company. I would not normally make a purchase such as this but was so glad I did. I very highly recommend this company as their products are so well made and look beautiful. The smell of wood when I opened the packages was lovely. Real craftsmanship. Thank you so very much.
